Today we announced our Series “A” funding. There is a good chance you have already seen this as our news release was picked up by many and echoed through numerous media channels. For those of you who didn’t (yet), this is the headline:

Needless to say, this marks a huge milestone for Entro and for me personally.
- After pioneering the NHI and secrets security market only one year ago,
- With dozens of paying customers, Entro enjoys advanced capabilities such as NHIDR (Non-Human Identity Detection and Response) and full inventory with secerts exposure classification. (Did I mention that only Entro has this? )
We are moving fast to keep enabling organizations to securely use non-human identities and secrets at scale.
I have been asked many times how Entro started – The truth is it started some years back in my past roles as CISO and as Head Security at Microsoft. Non-human identities and secret security were a huge headache for me as I was breached …more than once through an exposed and unmanaged secret. For a very long time, I searched for a solution, but there was nothing in sight that provided an end-to-end solution for Non-Human identity security and management. Yes , There were and still are partial solutions to the problem, such as scanners and vaults, but they were and still are, partial solutions to a growing problem. So, together with my co-founder Adam Chriki, we decided to find the solution ourselves. And so Entro came to the world the first of its kind and a true pioneer that initiated the non-human identity management and secrets security category.
Enterprise Security for AI Agents & Non-Human Identities
The Journey So Far
When we started Entro Security, we noticed a massive gap in how companies handled non-human identities (NHIs)— things like API keys, service accounts, tokens, and certificates. With the rapid adoption of cloud services and SaaS applications, these NHIs are multiplying at an insane rate, outnumbering human employees by 45 times! Traditional methods just couldn’t keep up, and this was creating serious vulnerabilities.
Think about it—NHIs are everywhere, and managing them manually is like trying to hold water in your hands. We saw the need for a solution, one that could provide visibility, control, context, detection, and mitigation, all fully automated lifecycle managment for non-human identites and secrets. I am often asked, “Is it hard to onboard?” The answer is, “Give us 5 minutes.” That is how we built Entro, as a CISO creating a platform for my fellow CISOs and their security teams.
Why This Matters – Another day another NHI breach
Securing this $18 million is more than just a financial boost. It’s validation that what we’re doing is right, important and necessary. NHIs have become a major target for attackers, leading to costly breaches like the one the New York Times experienced recently. We’re here to change that.
Our platform gives organizations the tools they need to manage and secure NHIs efficiently. We offer a bird’s-eye view of all Non-Human identities, contextualize security data, and automate lifecycle management. It’s all about making the security of Non-Human identities easier and effective.
So what’s next? With this new funding, we’re set to continue scaling our operations globally and enhancing our platform to meet the growing demand. The Entro Platform is gaining huge traction, and just a year out of stealth, we have dozens of fantastic customers. working with us such as SolarWinds, Elastic, Kayak, Regatta, Silverfort, and many more. The feedback has been phenomenal. They’ve told us how quickly they can visualize NHIs threats and take action, within minutes of onboarding. That’s the kind of impact we’re creating
