Entro is in the HOUSE !!!

May 17^th, 2023 will forever be etched in my memory as the day we launched Entro – a revolutionary solution to one of the most pressing issues in the cybersecurity industry. As the founder of Entro, and I am shouting this from every roof top – I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication of our team, who have made this dream a reality.

How it all started. Really started

My real journey to founding Entro began 17 years ago when I was selected to join the elite cyber security unit of the IDF (Israel Defense Forces). I was thrilled and highly honored. These are the days before Facebook so no post telling the world, but if this were today I would probably post something along the lines of “Mom – your Jewish Mother pressure paid off :), I am going to make the world a better place“. The seed was planted.

Over the years, I have held various positions in the industry, including developer, DevOps, cybersecurity researcher, and CISO of a major healthcare organization, before becoming the Head of Security and SRE at Microsoft. Along the way, I learned to embrace change to grow and improve.

Struggling with the same challenge again and again and again

Throughout my career, many things changed, but there was one thing that unfortunately did not change. I was continually faced with the challenge of “secrets” security – a problem that has plagued the industry for too long.

For those who are not familiar with the term “secrets” these are access credentials such as API keys and access tokens. They are the keys that applications use to authenticate against their cloud services. These keys are often scattered across different vaults, cloud services, and collaboration tools, making them highly vulnerable to attacks

It’s time to find a solution – Enough is enough

As a cybersecurity professional, I was frustrated that there was no comprehensive solution to the secrets security problem. I knew I had to do something to address this critical issue and help organizations safeguard their sensitive secrets keys.

Thus, Entro was born – a solution that provides an inventory of secrets and helps organizations track how many secrets are exposed in code and collaboration tools, how many are stored in a vault, which applications are using what secrets, and yes, if your organization is breached, how many secret keys attackers have created and where they are. With Entro, we can finally solve the secrets security problem once and for all.

The journey to launch Entro was not easy, but we did it!  Together with my friend, colleague, and now co-founder and CTO, Adam Cheriki, we have reunited to tackle this issue that has kept CISOs and their teams up at night.

I am grateful for the opportunity to start a company that addresses a real and pressing issue in the industry. The launch of Entro marks a significant milestone in our journey, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.
